Loropetalum chinense

Loropetalum chinense, chinense for its origin, loropetalum for the shape of its petals, loron in Greek means very thin strips, petalum comes from petalon, in Greek, and means petals. This rubrum 红花 檵 木 (hóng huā jì mù) variety comes from the Hunan province, where it was discovered only in 1928 by western botanists, in Guanxi and Jiangsu, where it is common to find them on hills and mountains in sunny areas, although it also grows wild under pine forests and fir forests. Leaves, flowers and roots are used in traditional Chinese medicine. Evergreen, robust and reliable plant, it belongs to the Hamamelidaceae family. It blooms before spring, just as the anxiety to see flowers coincides with the messy weather that says goodbye to winter.

Esta variedad rubrum 红花 檵 木 (hóng huā jì mù) proviene de la provincia de Hunan, donde fue descubierta solo en 1928 por los botánicos occidentales, en Guanxi y Jiangsu es común encontrarlos en colinas y montañas en áreas soleadas, aunque también crece salvaje bajo bosques de pinos y abetos. Las hojas, flores y raíces se utilizan en la medicina tradicional china. Planta de hoja perenne, robusta y fiable, pertenece a la familia Hamamelidaceae. Florece antes de la primavera, en el momento en que el deseo de ver flores choca con el clima desordenado que dice adiós al invierno.
